Corona, Calif. (March 23, 2010) – Even though the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series had a few and far between off-weekend, plenty of Eibach supporting teams and racers kept busy to keep the race results pouring in!
Off-Road Racing
The 24th annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 was held March 13 in San Felipe, Baja, Mexico. A couple friends of Eibach Springs and also supporting teams competed in the running of the event.
All-German Motorsports with drivers Armin Schwarz and Martin Christensen piloted their Class 1 truck to the overall event win, as well as the class win, for the Baja 250, with nearly a five minute margin of victory over the second place finisher. The duo piloted the course with ease, driving through whoops, "steeekers" and literally within inches and feet of enthusiastic spectators. Many nay-sayers said it would be impossible for a Class 1 buggy to capture the overall title, but Schwarz and Christensen proved everyone wrong in the end.
Mexican team Vildosola Racing welcomed and sported Red Bull colors on their No. 21 trophy truck. The race started successfully for Tavo and Javi Valenzuela until around mile 82 the No. 21 Red Bull entry was plagued by rear end gremlins; forcing the team to the sidelines for the remainder of the race. The team will make repairs and have plenty of time to have the truck ready for the Baja 500 scheduled June 4-6 in Ensenada.

Drag Racing
The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series visited Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Fla., for the Tire Kingdom Gatornationals over the weekend.
KB Racing's Jason Line faced reigning Full Throttle Pro Stock champion Mike Edwards in the finals on Sunday. Line cut nearly a perfect light, with a .004-second reaction time off the Tree. His holeshot was good enough to claim the win over Edwards for Line's 21st career Pro Stock win.
The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals saw its biggest opening-weekend in series history March 4-7 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida for the Spring Break Shootout.
Eibach Springs is a sponsor of the Pure Street class. Steve Gifford was low ET and had top speed in his 1998 Ford Mustang with a 10.040-second run at 134.22 mph. However at the end of the weekend, it was Ryan Hecox's 1999 Cobra that collected the trophy with a 10.176-second, 131.19 mph run over David Hill and his 1993 Mustang.
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events eight and nine were contested at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., and Cherokee Super Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., March 6 & 7, respectively.
Eibach Springs supporter Chris Madden had a win slip through his fingers in Tennessee. North Carolina driver Ray Cook took the lead from Madden on lap 36 to land in victory lane of the "Spring Thaw 60"; Madden finished second.
Madden and the LOLMDS packed up and headed to Madden's home track of Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C.
Madden set on the outside front row for the "March Madness VIII" and led for the first 10 laps of the event, only to be passed on lap 11 by Clint Bowyer Racing driver Dale McDowell. Madden didn't give up the fight and was racing side-by-side with McDowell on lap 27 and 28; on lap 29, Madden as officially scored the race leader. With 10 laps to go, Madden still sat out front, but a Scott Bloomquist storm was brewing behind him. Bloomer passed Madden on lap 45 for second place and a caution came out one lap later stacking the top contenders up for a single-file restart. Madden finished in the fifth position.
Dirt Track Racing
Cold temperatures did not keep drivers or fans away from the opening race of the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour at Humboldt Speedway in Kansas over the weekend.
Forty-five cars entered the two-night opening weekend, but it was the same name that donned victory lane at the closing race of 2009 that also appeared in victory lane both nights opening weekend.
Hughes was the Eibach Springs Heat Race No. 4 winner and earned a product certificate for his efforts on Saturday, with Terry Schultz winning the heat race on Sunday.
Jason Hughes picked up 19 USMTS wins in 2009 and starts out his 2010 season with 2 heading into the USMTS events at Outlaw Motor Speedway in Oklahoma on Friday and West Siloam Speedway also in Oklahoma on Saturday.

***Michael Lewis returned to the seat of the Eurointernational Formula BMW for an open test at Monza on March 9. Lewis will be the only American to compete full-time in the series this season.
